Victor Ehibe: Nigerian left-back linked with move to Admira Wacker
Nigeria defender Victor Ehibe, currently without a club after leaving FC Koper, is being linked with a move to Austrian side Admira Wacker in the 2. Liga.
The 20-year-old left-back became a free agent on 1 July 2026 following the end of his spell with Koper and is understood to be under consideration as Admira look to strengthen their defensive options ahead of the new campaign. Any deal would not involve a transfer fee, with Ehibe’s current market value listed at €50,000.
Ehibe has recent experience in European football after joining Koper in July 2025 and spending part of last season on loan at fellow Slovenian club NK Domzale. He returned to Koper at the end of 2025 before moving on this summer. His time in Slovenia followed a stint with Nigerian side Shooting Stars, where he first emerged in senior football.
The right-footed left-back has also featured in European competition, making an appearance in UEFA Europa Conference League qualifying, and has accumulated game time in Slovenia’s Prva Liga. Before moving to Europe, he registered 19 league appearances and one goal in the Nigerian Professional Football League, establishing himself as a regular at domestic level.
With Ehibe unattached and open to a new challenge, Admira Wacker are weighing up whether to move for the defender as they shape their squad for the upcoming 2. Liga season.
