Wydad Sifrewi Football Club, competing in the second division amateurs, has officially announced the signing of veteran player Yassine Salhi to defend the team’s colors in the upcoming period.
This move is part of the club’s ongoing project since the management previously secured the services of national coach Shamseddine Shatibi.
Expressing his joy, Salhi stated to “Hesport,” “I am delighted to return to the field once again.
I had mentioned to your platform some time ago that I am constantly contemplating a return to the football arenas.
The opportunity came through Wydad Sifrewi, for which I thank its officials, and I hope to make the necessary contribution.”
The 36-year-old speaker added, “My return to the field was a decision based on conviction.
I believe I am still capable of contributing.
I will work with dedication and diligence in training to be physically ready to contribute to achieving positive results.”
Salhi, who halted his playing career in recent seasons, had his last football experience in the 2020 season with Raja Beni Mellal.
He previously shone in the colors of Raja Casablanca and played for Kuwait’s Kuwaiti, Dibba Al-Fujairah, and Al-Aruba in the United Arab Emirates, in addition to Moroccan side MAT Tetouan.
It is worth noting that Salhi also represented the national team in five matches, scoring one goal.
