South African giants Orlando Pirates have extended the contract of veteran midfielder Makhehlene Makhaula heading into the new campaign.
The 35-year-old, whose contract was due to expire on June 30, will now remain at the Soweto giants until summer 2026 after being handed a new deal.

His top-class performance did not go unnoticed, earning him a significant contract renewal at the club.
Against the backdrop of captain Innocent Maela and veteran midfielder Miguel Timm, Orlando Pirates have opted to keep Makhehlene Makhaula.
With his wealth of experience, he is expected to play a leadership role in the upcoming campaign for the Soweto-based club.
