Vancouver consider move for Grenoble striker Yadaly Diaby

Guinean-French striker Yadaly Diaby is the subject of a reported move from Grenoble to Vancouver, with the Ligue 2 forward linked with a switch to Major League Soccer.

Diaby, 26, has made an impressive start to the 2026-27 Ligue 2 season, starting all three of Grenoble’s matches and scoring twice. He has played 226 minutes, with his goals coming at a rate of one every 113 minutes.

The centre-forward joined Grenoble from Clermont Foot in February 2025 and has established himself as an important attacking option for the French club. His current form has now reportedly attracted interest from Vancouver, who compete in MLS.

Diaby began his senior career with Andrezieux before moving into Clermont’s system. He later spent the 2022-23 season on loan with Austrian club Austria Lustenau, returning to Clermont before his move to Grenoble.

The player’s current market value is listed at €1.2m, while his contract with Grenoble runs until 30 June 2027. Any potential move would therefore involve negotiations with the Ligue 2 club rather than a free transfer.
