Valencia is reportedly in advanced talks to sell its defender Aly Cissokho to Liverpool as the club looks to trim its payroll. Amadeo Salvo, the president of Valencia, mentioned on Radio Valencia that the two clubs are close to reaching an agreement for the transfer of the French international.
The deal is expected to involve a one-year loan for the 25-year-old left-back, with Liverpool having an option to buy. The loan is set to cost the Reds 1 million euros, and the purchase option is valued at 3.5 million euros.
Aly Cissokho, having experienced a failed transfer to AC Milan in 2009 due to a medical issue, is cautiously optimistic about the move. He is said to be waiting for the medical examination before fully believing in the transfer.
