USM Khenchela stuns ASO Chlef with last-minute winner

USM Khenchela delivered a thrilling comeback to edge ASO Chlef 3-2 in the 19th round of the Algerian Football League on Friday.

The visitors struck first with a 17th-minute own goal from Brans Eibra, but ASO Chlef quickly responded through Ayoub Saddin in the 30th minute, sending both teams into halftime level at 1-1.

ASO Chlef regained the lead in the 66th minute when Yao Alawanjo found the net. However, Khenchela refused to back down, equalizing in the 73rd minute through Mohamed Abdel-Ali Qamroud. Just when it seemed the match would end in a stalemate, Muhammad Islam Bakir sealed a dramatic victory in stoppage time (90+1).

With the win, USM Khenchela climbs to 11th place with 23 points, while ASO Chlef remains in fifth with 27 points. Up next, USM Khenchela faces league leaders MC Alger on March 14, while ASO Chlef takes on third-placed USM Alger on the same day. USM Khenchela will be hoping to get another win to boost their position in the league.
