Similarly, Gillette, a renowned brand of razors and shaving gels, has also leveraged the star power of athletes. In one of their ads, they brought together Lionel Messi from Barcelona and Roger Federer, the Swiss tennis player.
In 2012, Federer remarked, “Messi and I demonstrate that we can be good guys and be successful.” However, in this advertisement, the Spaniard seemingly forgot about their supposed friendship as Messi scores a goal against Federer.
