The Togolese football team, known as the Eperviers, has departed for Kumasi to participate in the UFOA (Union of West African Football Associations) tournament. The team is set to defend its title, which was secured in 2011 in Nigeria. Led by coaches Tchanilé Tchakala and Adam Fazazi, the Togolese selection has been reinforced by Olufadé Adekambi.
Togo has been placed in Group B, and the matches will be held at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi and the Paa Joe Stadium at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. Despite a less-than-ideal performance in the recent UMOA tournament in Ivory Coast, where Togo finished last in the group with just one point, the team is gearing up for the UFOA tournament with a determined spirit.
The squad comprises players from various clubs, including Foadan, Dyto, Maranatha, Gomido, Anges FC, Free, Etoile Filante, AS Douanes, and Agaza. The coaching staff includes Tchanilé Tchakala as the head coach, assisted by Adam Fazazi and Olufadé Adekambi. The tournament in Kumasi will provide another opportunity for the Eperviers to showcase their talent and compete against teams from the West African region.
