Metalurg Donetsk (Ukraine), Petrolul Ploiesti (Romania), and Skonto FC (Latvia) have been given until January 31 to settle their outstanding payments, or they face the risk of being excluded from European competitions.
These clubs could face a ban from participating in “UEFA club competition” for the next three seasons (2014/15, 2015/16, 2016/17) unless they can “prove before January 31, 2014” that they have paid the amounts due, as identified on September 30, 2013.
In addition to the potential ban, FC Metalurg Donetsk has been fined EUR 80,000, FC Petrolul Ploiesti has been fined EUR 50,000, and Skonto FC has been fined EUR 40,000. WKS Slask Wroclaw (Poland) received a fine of EUR 20,000, CS Pandurii Târgu Jiu (Romania) was fined EUR 40,000. Vitória SC (Portugal) received a warning in connection with similar financial issues.
