Germany forward of Nigerian descent, Karim Adeyemi, put up a top performance for Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday night, helping the team to draw 4-4 with Juventus in the UEFA Champions League.

The pacey winger scored and provided an assist on the matchday, playing an important role for his side.

Adeyemi opened the scoring in the 52nd minute, drilling a low effort into the bottom corner after a neat pass from Serhou Guirassy. Adeyemi then turned provider in the 65th minute, setting up Felix Nmecha for Dortmund’s second goal with a clever assist.

Juventus, however, refused to be outdone. Kenan Yildiz equalised in the 63rd minute before Dusan Vlahovic struck just two minutes later to level the game again at 2-2. Dortmund regained control when Yan Couto produced a fine finish in the 74th minute, and Ramy Bensebaini converted from the penalty spot in the 86th to make it 4-2.

But the Italian giants staged a late comeback. Vlahovic’s stunning volley in stoppage time gave Juventus hope, and Lloyd Kelly completed the dramatic equaliser in the 96th minute with a towering header.

Adeyemi’s goal and assist proved vital for Dortmund, but Juventus’ resilience ensured both sides shared the spoils in one of the most entertaining clashes of Matchday 1.
