Frenchman Paul Pogba has been dropped from the AS Monaco squad that will take on Juventus in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday night due to another injury setback.
The 32-year-old was absent from the squad list released ahead of the fixture, marking yet another setback in his difficult attempt to return to regular action since joining Monaco in the summer.
Pogba’s repeated unavailability has increasingly frustrated both club officials and supporters, as he continues to battle physical issues.
The latest omission follows a series of fitness problems that have severely restricted his involvement since the beginning of the campaign. As Monaco compete in a demanding Ligue 1 season, the absence of Pogba’s experience and midfield quality remains a notable loss.
Pogba arrived at Monaco on a free transfer after his contract with Juventus expired, hoping to revive his career following a lengthy doping suspension and an injury-plagued spell in Italy.
However, his impact has so far been minimal, with only a handful of appearances amounting to around 30 minutes of playing time this season, and no goals or assists recorded.
