UB Conquense complete Ghanaian defender Abdullai Sambo promotion to first team

Ghanaian centre-back Abdullai Sambo has joined UB Conquense from the club’s reserve side, completing a move into their Segunda Federacion – Gr. V squad.

The 19-year-old defender made the switch on 29 August 2026 and has signed a contract with UB Conquense that runs until 30 June 2028. No transfer fee has been disclosed for the move.

Sambo, who was born in Accra, is a right-footed central defender standing 1.86m tall. His arrival gives UB Conquense another option in the heart of their defence as they prepare for the 2026-27 campaign.

He joined UB Conquense B from African Talent on 1 March 2026, before progressing to the club’s senior side later the same year. The move represents the next step in his spell with the Spanish club after his initial arrival from African Talent.

The defender’s promotion keeps him within the UB Conquense setup while moving him from the reserve team into the club’s first-team structure. His new agreement places him at the club through the end of the 2027-28 season.

Sambo’s transfer was registered on 29 August, with UB Conquense listed as his current club and the Segunda Federacion – Gr. V as his competition. The Ghanaian will now continue his development in Spain alongside the club’s senior team.

He has spent his recent career in the UB Conquense system after beginning his time there with the B side. That path has now culminated in his move to the first team, completing the club-to-club step without leaving UB Conquense.

Sambo has joined UB Conquense from UB Conquense B on a deal running until June 2028.
