The national women’s football team, under 20 years old, embarked on a direct flight from Mohammed V Airport in Casablanca to Egypt on Monday, commencing a closed preparatory gathering that will extend until next Friday.
On the Egyptian soil, the national elite will engage in an intensive training camp before heading to the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa.
The preparations are part of their readiness for the upcoming crucial match on Sunday, marking the return leg of the fourth and final round of the African qualifiers for the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, scheduled to take place in Colombia.
In the initial leg of the qualifiers, the national team secured a convincing 2-0 victory at the Ahmed El Abbadi Stadium in El Jadida.
Their journey to Egypt serves as a pivotal phase to fine-tune strategies and strengthen team cohesion ahead of the decisive clash.
