Egypt head coach, Osama Nabih, says his side is well prepared for their clash against Morocco.
The two North African sides will clash in the semifinals in the ongoing U-20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament with kick-off scheduled at 18:00 GMT.
Speaking to the press, Nabih said, “Securing qualification to the FIFA U-20 World Cup gives the players peace of mind and psychological stability after relieving the pressure since the beginning of the tournament.”
“The match is similar to an Arab final, because Morocco is a strong and organised competitor and has been performing impressively in all age groups.
“We look forward to putting on a show worthy of our country. We will defend our legitimate dreams with strength and courage and fight to continue our journey towards the African dream,” he continued.
“Returning the tournament draw to Egypt was a good thing because the old draw included Egypt, Nigeria, South Africa and Morocco in one group, and these are the teams that advanced to the last four.”
He pointed out that “all the teams suffered in the group stage and the quarter-finals, and this is the nature of football. The players were up to the task, and we look forward to the same fighting spirit and manly performance against Morocco to please their fans.”
