Trabzonspor are closing in on the acquisition of Mamelodi Sundowns and Brazil forward Lucas Ribeiro in the ongoing summer transfer window.
The Turkish outfit are keen on strengthening their squad for the 2025/26 football campaign, and Ribeiro, who enjoyed an amazing campaign with Sundowns has emerged as a priority target.
Ribeiro’s outstanding performance has caught the attention of several clubs including, Trabzonspor, who are keen to secure his services. He enjoyed a strong run of form in South Africa, where he has become one of Sundowns key players.
Trabzonspor have officially shortlisted Lucas Ribeiro as one of their top targets for this transfer window.
Ribeiro’s price tag of €2.5 million is within the Turkish club reach. However, a deal could be struck in the coming days for the attacker.
Last season, Ribeiro featured in 51 matches, notching up 21 goals and providing 14 assists. The forward is currently under contract with Sundowns until 2028.
The 26-year-old showcased glimpses of good performance at the FIFA Club World Cup tournament despite his outfits’ early elimination. He scored one goals and delivered an assist in three appearances.
