Kamory Doumbia, the 21-year-old Malian attacking midfielder, has become a hot commodity following his impressive season on loan at Stade Brestois. His performances, including a remarkable four-goal haul against Lorient, have caught the attention of several clubs, with Turkish side Trabzonspor leading the charge.

Doumbia’s season with Brest was marked by his contribution of six goals and five assists, helping the team secure qualification for the next edition of the Champions League.

This achievement has made him a key target for Stade Brestois, who are keen to retain his services.

Discussions between Brest and Doumbia’s parent club, Reims, are underway, with both parties hoping to reach an agreement that would see the young talent remain in France.

“Kamory has had an outstanding season with us, and we are very interested in keeping him,” said a source close to Stade Brestois.

“He has shown that he can make a significant impact, and his contributions will be vital as we look to compete in the Champions League.”

However, Stade Brestois faces stiff competition from Trabzonspor, who have tabled a €4.5 million offer for Doumbia and proposed a three-year contract.

According to Africafoot, the Turkish club is eager to secure the midfielder’s signature, recognizing his potential to bolster their squad.

Despite the lucrative offer from Trabzonspor, Doumbia has expressed a preference to continue his journey with Brest, particularly to experience playing in the Champions League.

Nevertheless, he remains open to exploring his options during the summer transfer window.

“Kamory is excited about the possibility of playing in the Champions League with Brest, but he is also open to considering other offers,” said a representative of the player.

“He wants to ensure that he makes the best decision for his career.”

Doumbia’s career trajectory has been on a steady rise, and his next move will be crucial.

Whether he continues with Stade Brestois or opts for a new challenge with Trabzonspor or another interested club, his decision will significantly impact his development and future prospects.

As the transfer window heats up, all eyes will be on Kamory Doumbia and the outcome of the negotiations.

His potential move to Turkey could provide a new platform for his talents, while staying in France could see him become a key figure in Brest’s European campaign.
