Turkish Super Lig side Antalyaspor have joined the race for the signing of Ivorian striker Sebastien Haller.
As widely reported before the end of the 2024/25 football season, the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) winner is set to permanently leave Borussia Dortmund this summer.
While FC Utrecht have already publicly expressed their desire to sign the Ivorian permanently, Antalyaspor have now joined the race
According to sources, the Turkish club has already contacted the attacker and discussed a possible transfer in personal talks.
The club appears determined to acquire Haller as an experienced reinforcement for the coming season.
Haller, 30, spent the second half of last season on loan at FC Utrecht from Borussia Dortmund.
He scored six goals in 18 competitive matches, proving that he’s competitive again despite his serious illness.
The Dutch club now wants to keep the forward and has expressed its intent to sign him permanently to Dortmund.
While Haller earns around 9 million euros a year in Dortmund, Utrecht can only offer 500,000 euros. This is why talks about the possible signing of the forward have not progressed.
If Antalyaspor can do better, they will have the upper hand in the transfer race.
