Tunisia’s Club Etoile du Sahel announced on Thursday, February 8, 2024, the termination of contracts with defender Jasser Khmiri and forward Youssef El Abdli, both of whom have officially departed from the team.
The decision to part ways with the two players was made by the club’s management, led by President Othman Jenayah, following discussions aimed at reaching an amicable agreement.
Despite efforts by Jenayah to persuade them to stay, a consensus could not be reached, leading to the mutual termination of contracts.
Khmiri and El Abdli had previously lodged complaints with the Federal Disputes Committee seeking contract terminations and the settlement of their outstanding dues.
The departure of Khmiri and El Abdli marks a significant development for Etoile du Sahel as they prepare for the resumption of league activities.
Both players have been key contributors to the team, and their absence will undoubtedly impact the squad dynamics.
