Tunisian midfielder Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane has undergone a medical examination ahead of his transfer to Egyptian giants Al Ahly.
The 25-year-old midfielder will join Al Ahly in a move from Hungarian club Ferencvaros.
A source close to Al Ahly told Yalla Kora that the club had requested a second medical assessment in Cairo, despite having already reviewed an initial medical report sent by the player’s camp.
“Ben Romdhane underwent a second medical examination today, at the request of Al Ahly, after completing an initial one and sharing the results with the club’s medical staff,” the source confirmed.
“He passed the Cairo tests successfully, paving the way for him to sign a four-year contract.”
Preparations are now underway to unveil the Tunisian star.
“The player will have a photo session today or tomorrow ahead of the official announcement and introduction to the Red Castle fans,” the source added.
It is understood that a promotional video is also being filmed to accompany the announcement.
Following the official unveiling, Ben Romdhane is expected to travel briefly to Tunisia before returning to join Al Ahly’s training sessions.
He is expected to be registered for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.
