The Tunisian Football League announced on Thursday that it has suspended Saber Khalifa, the sporting coordinator of Club Africain, following an incident during the match against ES Sahel.
The Professional League Bureau has decided to suspend Saber Khalifa and ban him from the substitute benches for two matches, in addition to imposing a fine of 5,000 dinars.
This action comes in response to the events that unfolded during the Club Africain and ES Sahel match when Khalifa verbally abused the first assistant referee.
Club Africain issued a statement on Thursday morning protesting against the refereeing errors witnessed during the ES Sahel match in the first round of the Tunisian League’s championship stage.
The club objected to the expulsion of player Bassam Srarfi, describing the decision as unjustified.
Additionally, the club’s management held the refereeing authority responsible for the “injustice” inflicted on the team, stating that they were expecting fairness and justice to prevail.
