ES Métlaoui Set to Withdraw from Tunisian Cup
Étoile Sportive de Métlaoui have announced their intention to withdraw from the Tunisian Cup ahead of their scheduled round of 16 clash against AS Gabès.
The club cited a shortage of available players and disrupted match preparations as the primary reasons behind the decision.
In an official statement, ES Métlaoui confirmed they will formally notify the Tunisian Football Federation (FTF) in writing, outlining their withdrawal from the competition.
The tie against AS Gabès was drawn on 11 May, with the match originally set to take place on 11 June.
It remains to be seen how the FTF will respond to the announcement and whether AS Gabès will be granted automatic progression to the quarter-finals.
