Numerous Morrocan football clubs have turned to Tunisian coaches to reinforce their teams’ strategies, further solidifying the esteemed status of Tunisian football expertise in the Moroccan Pro League.
Tunisian nationality now ranks second only to Moroccan in terms of foreign coaches in the league.
The reigning champions, Royal Armed Forces Football Club, enlisted the services of Tunisian coach Nasreddine Nabi, who has propelled the team to the top of the league standings, firmly on track for another title triumph.
Similarly, Wydad Casablanca has re-engaged with Fawzi Benzarti as an interim coach following the departure of national coach Adel Rmzi.
However, despite the wealth of experience Benzarti brings, he has yet to steer the team to the desired results, leaving fans eager for a turnaround.
Meanwhile, Renaissance Berkane, representing the eastern region, has opted for another Tunisian coach, Mouine Chaabani, to succeed national coach Amin Karmi in leading the “Orange” squad.
Additionally, German coach Josef Zinnbauer of Raja Casablanca has enlisted the services of Tunisian fitness coach Omar Ben Wanass, who has made a significant impact with his expertise alongside compatriot Lassaad Chabbi.
Commenting on the growing presence of Tunisian coaches in Moroccan football, former coach of Raja Casablanca and Difaa El Jadidi, Lassaad Chabbi, stated, “First, we must acknowledge the value of Moroccan coaches, which is indisputable.”
He continued, “The culture between Morocco and Tunisia is akin to that of one country.
Tunisian coaches adapt quickly, and Moroccan management finds no difficulty in understanding them.”
Chabbi also highlighted the mutual benefits, stating, “There is an important factor: Tunisian coaches often seek opportunities beyond their homeland.
Today, for example, in the Libyan league, there are several Tunisian coaches.”
In conclusion, he expressed hope for positive footballing outcomes, saying, “We aspire to be ambassadors for our country, Tunisia, whether in the Moroccan league or any other Arab or European league.
We are confident that Morocco will achieve great success in hosting the Africa Cup of Nations and the 2030 World Cup.”
