Ridha Charfeddine, the president of Étoile Sportive du Sahel (ESS), has announced that he will not seek re-election during the upcoming elections in October to renew the club’s board of directors. Charfeddine had previously indicated his intention to step down, citing the critical financial situation of the club, which has accumulated nearly 17 million dinars in debt during his tenure. The financial crisis has dampened enthusiasm among potential candidates to take over the leadership of the Tunisian club.
