Georges Leekens Names Full Coaching Staff Ahead of 2015 CAN Qualifiers
Belgian coach Georges Leekens, appointed six months ago, has finally unveiled his full technical team as Tunisia prepares for the upcoming 2015 Africa Cup of Nations (CAN) qualifiers.
Leekens presented his complete staff to the media on Monday, a crucial step in gearing up for Tunisia’s opening qualifiers against Botswana and Egypt. The Carthage Eagles will first host Botswana before traveling to face Egypt as part of their qualifying campaign.
Assisting Leekens will be Tunisian coach Ghazi Gherairi, who has been appointed as first deputy. The technical team also includes second deputy Hatem Missaoui, physical trainer Boubaker Hannachi, goalkeeping coach Adel Zouita, and team doctor Dr. Souhaiel Chamli.
In a related announcement, the Tunisian Football Federation (FTF) confirmed that the home fixture against Botswana will be played at the Mustapha Ben Jannet Stadium in Monastir, providing a key home advantage for the hosts.
The appointment of Leekens and his technical staff marks a significant moment for Tunisia as they aim to secure qualification and build momentum ahead of the 2015 CAN tournament.
