Tunisia: Match officials confirmed for Ligue 1 matchday four

The National Refereeing Directorate has confirmed the officials who will take charge of the fixtures in Ligue 1 on Matchday Four, scheduled for Wednesday 27 and Thursday 28 August.

Four fixtures will be played simultaneously at 16:30 local time.

  • Bizertin Athletic Club v Club Africain – Referee: Amir Loucif
  • AS Marsa v US Monastirienne – Referee: Seif Ouertani
  • Stade Tunisien v ES Métlaoui – Referee: Hosni Naili
  • Olympique de Béja v JS Kairouanaise – Referee: Abdelhamid Badreddine

Thursday, 28 August

The remaining four matches will also kick off at 16:30.

  • Espérance de Zarzis v US Ben Guerdane – Referee: Nidhal Letaief
  • Espérance de Tunis v AS Soliman – Referee: Mohamed Ali Karouia
  • Étoile Sportive du Sahel v AS Gabès – Referee: Achraf Harakati
  • CS Sfaxien v JS Omrane – Referee: Bacem Belaid

These appointments come as the league enters its fourth round of fixtures, with clubs seeking to build momentum early in the campaign.

The selection of experienced referees is intended to ensure fair play and maintain the high standards of officiating demanded in Tunisia’s top flight.

Each match promises its own storyline, with traditional heavyweights such as Espérance de Tunis, Étoile Sportive du Sahel and CS Sfaxien expected to draw significant attention.

Meanwhile, teams like US Monastirienne and Stade Tunisien will look to sustain their form and challenge the established order.

The Directorate emphasised the importance of consistency and impartiality as competition intensifies, highlighting that referee assignments are carefully considered to balance experience with match demands.

Matchday Four is set to provide another test for both players and referees as clubs jostle for early positioning in the Ligue 1 standings.

All eyes will be on the officials to manage the contests with authority and accuracy.
