TWO TUNISIAN PLAYERS TEMPORARILY SUSPENDED FOR ATTEMPTED CORRUPTION
Marouane Troudi and Mahmoud Dridi have been found guilty in a case of attempted corruption related to the 2012-2013 Tunisian Championship season. As a result, the Tunisian Football Federation (FTF) has announced their suspension pending a final court ruling.
The FTF emphasized that it reserves the right to impose further disciplinary sanctions if the final judgment confirms the players’ guilt.
Both players were handed three-month suspended prison sentences and fined 10,000 dinars for their involvement in a telephone wiretapping scandal ahead of the JS Kairouanaise vs. CA Bizertin league match.
The case has reignited concerns over integrity in Tunisian football and highlights the federation’s determination to uphold disciplinary standards.
