Frenchman Roger Lemerre has officially joined Etoile Sportive du Sahel, as announced by the club on its official website. Lemerre has inked a six-month contract with ESS, marking his association with the first Tunisian club to secure victory in the CAF Champions League back in 2007.
Zied Jaziri, a manager at the club, expressed familiarity with the team’s new coach and conveyed his confidence in Lemerre’s ability to bring about an “authentic revolution at the Star.” Jaziri, a former international, emphasized Lemerre’s coaching prowess and discipline, stating that the experienced coach has the technical capabilities to elevate Etoile back to the pinnacle of success. Additionally, he affirmed the commitment of the club’s management to provide the necessary support for Lemerre’s success in his new role.
