Tunisia’s plans to appoint Raymond Domenech as the coach of the Eagles of Carthage fell through after the former France coach opted to commit to a program on France 2 channel instead. Domenech had hoped to bring his own technical staff, a request that was denied by Tunisian football authorities.
Subsequently, Tunisian football leaders shifted their focus to negotiating with other candidates, including Jacques Santini and German coach Ulrich Stielike. Currently, negotiations have leaned towards Stielike, a former player for the German national team.
According to reports from Gnet, the president of the Tunisian Football Federation (FTF) is in discussions with Stielike regarding the coaching position for the Tunisian national team. While the Santini option remains under consideration, it appears that the balance is now in favor of Stielike, which may serve as a consolation for the former Tottenham coach.
