Espérance de Tunis Targets More Success After Tunisian League Title Win
Espérance de Tunis, having clinched the Tunisian Ligue 1 title at the conclusion of the 28th matchday, is not resting on its laurels. Despite their successful season, the club’s coach, who spoke in a recent interview on a Tunisian channel, emphasized that the team remains focused on further growth and improvement.
The Dutch manager expressed confidence in his current squad but made it clear that Espérance will look to strengthen their ranks ahead of the second half of the season. “I have confidence in my squad. We will be able to strengthen our team after the first leg of the Champions League group stage. The most important thing is to recruit players who are stronger than ours,” he said, hinting at the club’s strategic approach to recruitment.
Espérance de Tunis is also continuing its campaign in the CAF Champions League, and they are drawn in Group B alongside some of the competition’s toughest teams: rivals CS Sfaxien, Algeria’s Entente Sétif, and Libya’s Al Ahli Benghazi. As the reigning Champions League champions, the club is determined to defend its title and push for further success on both domestic and continental fronts.
