While the Algerian league remains on hold following the tragic death of JS Kabylie striker Albert Ebossé, the Tunisian Ligue 1 continued with its third round on Tuesday.
Stade Tunisien secured a 2-0 victory over EGS Gafsa thanks to goals from Haythem Ben Salem (17th minute) and Hamdi Rouid (64th minute). This win propels the Bardo-based club to joint first place alongside ES Zarzis and Club Africain, all sitting on six points after three games.
Meanwhile, Bizertin Athletic Club recorded their first win of the season by beating Avenir Sportif de Gabès 2-0, moving up to fourth place in the standings.
AS Djerba struggled again, suffering their second loss in three matches after falling to Stade Gabésien.
The third round is not yet complete, with five matches still to be played. Four fixtures are scheduled for Wednesday, August 27, including:

AS Djerba vs. Stade Gabésien
-
