TS Galaxy’s Parker welcomes full squad as Gallants await in Rustenburg

TS Galaxy head coach Bernard Parker will be able to call on his complete squad for the first time this season when his side face Marumo Gallants in a Betway Premiership meeting at Royal Bafokeng on Tuesday evening.

The match, which kicks off at 19:30, brings together two of the eight clubs in the division still searching for their first victory of the campaign.

Phuti Mohafe’s Gallants begin the game at the bottom of the table, while TS Galaxy are currently in 10th position. The fixture therefore offers both teams an opportunity to change the early direction of their seasons, although neither has yet managed to secure a win.

For Galaxy, the most significant development is that the club has now officially been removed from the FIFA transfer ban list. That clearance has allowed the Rockets to complete the registration of their new signings who had previously been unable to feature.

Galaxy had been under a FIFA sanction since 27 February 2026. The punishment prevented the club from submitting the necessary paperwork for new players with the Premier Soccer League, leaving Parker without a group of recruits during the opening part of the season.

The end of the restriction means Parker can now choose from an additional 14 players. The available group includes Sifiso Ngobeni, Zuko Gxabusa, Edson Khumalo, Camagu Mdevulana, Mpho Maoke, Anslin William, Simthandile Sishi, Bongani van den Heede, Lennol Mathebula, Azola Jakalashe, Thabelo Tshikweta, Katekane Mhlongo, Nhlakanipho Ngwenya and Siphesihle Tati.

Those players had not been eligible to play for Galaxy so far this season, but their registration has now expanded Parker’s selection options considerably ahead of the trip to Rustenburg.

The meeting with Gallants will also mark Parker’s 10th game in charge of the club since he replaced Adnan Beganovic in April.

Parker first took responsibility for the team during the final six matches of last season, when he served as interim head coach. His performances in that period led to him being given the position on a permanent basis for the current campaign.

His latest assignment comes at a crucial point for both clubs. Gallants will be looking to move away from the bottom of the Betway Premiership standings, while Galaxy will hope that the return of their previously unavailable players can help them climb from 10th.

With both sides still without a league victory this season, Tuesday’s contest at Royal Bafokeng carries added importance. For Parker, it will be the first opportunity to select from the full squad since taking charge on a permanent basis.
