Troyes add Timothe Nkada to Ligue 1 attack on loan from Standard Liege
France-Cameroon centre-forward Timothe Nkada has joined Troyes from Belgian club Standard Liege on loan, completing a return to France as part of the Ligue 1 side’s squad for the 2026-27 campaign.
The 27-year-old’s move was completed on 1 September 2026, with the loan running until 30 June 2027. Nkada’s arrival gives Troyes another central attacking option after he started the season with Standard Liege in the Jupiler Pro League.
Nkada made one league appearance for Standard Liege during the opening part of the 2026-27 season. He joined the Belgian club from French side Rodez AF in August 2025 in a permanent move worth €1.8m.
The striker spent the 2024-25 campaign with Rodez after leaving Slovenian side FC Koper. His move to Rodez followed a free transfer from Stade Reims, where he returned after loan spells with Aalborg BK in Denmark and US Orleans in France.
Nkada began his senior career in the Rennes system before moving to Stade Reims as a free agent in 2019. He later gained experience outside France with Aalborg and Koper, before establishing his recent career in the French and Belgian leagues.
Born in Lille, Nkada stands 1.80m tall and is listed as a centre-forward. He is right-footed and holds French and Cameroonian nationality. His current market value is €2m.
Troyes have taken Nkada on loan as he returns to the country where he previously played for Reims, US Orleans and Rodez. The move also places him back in Ligue 1 after his spell in Belgium with Standard Liege.
Standard Liege retain Nkada’s registration beyond the loan, with the forward scheduled to return to the Belgian club when his temporary spell at Troyes ends on 30 June 2027. His contract with Standard Liege is recorded as running until that date.
Nkada has therefore switched from Standard Liege to Troyes on a loan deal completed on 1 September 2026.
