André Ayew Eyeing Move Away from Marseille Despite Public Commitment
Ghanaian international André Ayew is reportedly seeking a move away from Olympique de Marseille, despite publicly expressing his commitment to the club. According to La Provence, Ayew’s true intentions point towards a desire for a new challenge in a more competitive environment.
The French newspaper revealed on Saturday that while Ayew continues to state his dedication to OM, behind the scenes he is eager to join a top European club. “Today, he aspires to discover a new universe, a top European club with which he could question himself and continue his progression,” the outlet reported.
However, despite Ayew’s ambitions, Marseille’s management has yet to receive any significant offers for the 24-year-old winger. This could complicate any immediate plans for a departure, at least during the current transfer window.
Ayew is currently with Ghana’s national team in Brazil, preparing for the World Cup, which kicks off in just five days. A strong showing at the tournament could reignite interest from major European clubs and potentially accelerate his move away from the Stade Vélodrome.
Ayew, who has been with Marseille since his youth and rose through the club’s ranks, has often been linked with moves abroad. With his contract situation and personal ambitions now coming into sharper focus, his future at OM appears increasingly uncertain.
