Massire Kanté, the tall (1.96 m) Franco-Malian midfielder currently at CA Bastia, who has seen limited playing time this season, is reportedly close to joining Red Star. After Bastia’s relegation to the National League this season, Kanté is looking for a fresh start.
According to Foot National, negotiations between Red Star and Kanté are well advanced. The 25-year-old previously featured for Le Mans, where he made 29 appearances in Ligue 2. This potential move to Red Star could offer him more opportunities to play and revive his career after a challenging season with Bastia.
