John Carew, without a club since leaving West Ham in July 2012, is currently on trial at Inter Milan. The Norwegian international, who is being considered over Dutchman Ruud van Nistelrooy, must impress the Nerazzurri leadership to secure a spot in the team. Inter president Massimo Moratti stated, “He’s on trial. After two weeks, we will decide if we keep him,” in an interview on Sky Sport.
Originally from Gambia, Carew is being considered as a potential replacement for Argentinian Diego Milito, who is sidelined for several weeks due to a ruptured cruciate ligament in his left knee. If Carew succeeds in the trial, it will mark his return to Serie A after previously playing for AS Roma. The decision on his future with Inter Milan will be made after the two-week trial period.
