The transfer of Djibril Sidibé to Red Star has been officially confirmed. The Malian midfielder, formerly associated with Châteauroux and Sedan, has made the move to the Audon club after a stint in Israel. While he still needs to undergo a medical examination, Sidibé is poised to contribute to Red Star’s efforts in maintaining their position in the National league.
Djibril Sidibé started his career at AS Monaco, featuring in 12 matches during the 2001-2002 season. Following a loan period from 2002 to 2004 with Châteauroux in Ligue 2, where he played 60 matches in two years, the defensive midfielder showcased his skills with a strong right foot and significant playmaking abilities. He returned to Ligue 1 in 2004 with Bastia before rejoining Châteauroux a few months later. In the 2009-2010 season, Sidibé landed at CS Sedan.
Facing challenges within his club and experiencing a disagreement with the coach, Sidibé amicably terminated his contract with Sedan. He subsequently signed a two-season deal with the Israeli club Maccabi Tel-Aviv. Now, with his move to Red Star, Sidibé looks to make a positive impact in the National league.
