Egyptian star Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet, currently plying his trade for Trabzonspor, guided his team to the quarterfinals of the Turkish Cup at the expense of Genclerbirligi.
Trabzonspor staged a comeback victory against Genclerbirligi, winning 2-1, with a stunning goal from Trezeguet in the match held on Thursday evening at the Erzurum Stadium, part of the Round of 16 of the Turkish Cup.

Despite their efforts, Trezeguet’s teammates struggled to equalize until the 90+6th minute when Erim Elmalı scored, assisted by Thomas Münier, Trabzonspor’s winter transfer market acquisition.
