The 4th stage of the Tour of Rwanda 2012 took place with a route from Huye (Butare) to Karongi (Kibuye), covering a distance of 152.9 kilometers. Canadian cyclist Bruno Langlois, representing the Quebecor team, emerged as the winner. This victory follows the success of his compatriot Rémi Pelletier-Roy, who won the prologue.
In the overall rankings, there were no significant changes. South African cyclist Daren Lill maintained his lead, securing the yellow jersey with a seven-second advantage over compatriot Shaun Ward. Lill also continued to lead the ranking for the best African cyclist in the tour.
The 5th stage is scheduled to take place from Muhanga to Musanze, covering a distance of 126.5 km with challenging climbs. The Eritrean rider Metkel Eyob was awarded the best climber of the day. Other distinctive jerseys include the youngest jersey retained by 18-year-old Kudus Merhawi from Eritrea and the best fighter jersey awarded to Algerian cyclist Khaled Abderahbi.
