Toulouse and Brest eye move for Senegalese midfielder Rassoul Ndiaye

Le Havre’s rising star Rassoul Ndiaye has emerged as a major transfer target for Toulouse FC and Stade Brestois, with both clubs keen to secure the Senegalese U23 international during the upcoming winter transfer window.

The 22-year-old midfielder has enjoyed a standout start to the Ligue 1 season, featuring in 12 matches and scoring three goals across 753 minutes of play.

His commanding presence and consistency in midfield have made him one of Le Havre’s key performers, catching the attention of several top-flight clubs.

According to reports gathered by Africafoot, Toulouse FC have already opened discussions with Ndiaye’s representatives.

Currently 10th in Ligue 1, the club is eager to strengthen its midfield as it pushes to secure a top-five finish.

Toulouse are reportedly preparing a €3 million offer for the player, who is viewed as an ideal fit for their long-term project.

Born and raised in Besançon, France, Ndiaye represents Senegal at the U23 level and has quickly built a reputation as one of Ligue 1’s most promising young defensive midfielders.

His blend of physicality, composure, and passing range has been instrumental in Le Havre’s competitive performances this season.

Ndiaye’s current contract with Le Havre runs until June 2026, but the club is believed to be in advanced talks with his camp regarding a possible two- or three-year extension.

While discussions are ongoing, sources close to the player suggest that Ndiaye remains focused on his current season and on helping Le Havre achieve its objectives before making any decisions about his future.

Stade Brestois have also joined the race to sign the Senegalese midfielder.

Sitting 15th in the Ligue 1 table, Brest are seeking reinforcements after a difficult first half of the season.

Ndiaye’s name has been added to their shortlist of winter targets, and initial contact has reportedly been made.

The club’s management is expected to make a formal approach once the transfer window opens.

Transfermarkt currently values Ndiaye at around €3 million — a figure both Toulouse and Brest appear willing to match.

Meanwhile, FC Lorient are also monitoring his progress, making the competition for his signature even more intense.

Le Havre, however, are determined to retain one of their brightest prospects as they prepare for their next league match against Paris Saint-Germain.

Ndiaye’s performances this season have not only boosted his value but also positioned him as one of the standout young talents in French football.
