Tottenham target Guinea striker Serhou Guirassy in major summer rebuild plans
Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly entered the race to sign Serhou Guirassy from Borussia Dortmund, as part of a broader plan to reshape the squad ahead of next season.
According to reports from Bild, the 30-year-old striker has been assessing his options for several months alongside his representatives, keeping the door open for a potential summer move.
Guirassy is believed to have initially favoured a switch to the Saudi Pro League in pursuit of a lucrative contract, but that option has become less certain, opening the way for interest from Europe. Tottenham have now emerged as a serious contender, offering the forward a fresh opportunity in the Premier League.
Spurs, who are currently enduring a difficult campaign, are said to view Guirassy as a key figure in their rebuilding project. Club representatives have reportedly monitored his recent performances closely, attending his last five matches, and have already initiated contact with his camp.
A move to North London would likely come with a significant financial boost for the striker, whose current earnings at Dortmund are estimated at around €10 million annually, excluding bonuses.
From Dortmund’s perspective, negotiations could prove flexible. Guirassy’s €50 million release clause is only applicable to select elite clubs such as Real Madrid and Barcelona, as well as certain Saudi sides, meaning any deal with Tottenham would need to be agreed through direct talks.
Interest from AC Milan could further complicate matters, potentially setting the stage for a competitive transfer battle in the months ahead.
