Tottenham set to keep Italian-Nigerian Udogie despite interest from Manchester City and Juventus

Tottenham Hotspur defender Destiny Udogie is poised to remain at the club this summer, despite growing interest from top European sides, including Manchester City and Juventus.

The 22-year-old, who has impressed in his time at Spurs, has caught the eye of several high-profile clubs looking to strengthen their defensive options.

Udogie, who is of Nigerian descent, has quickly become a key figure in Tottenham’s defense.

His versatility, capable of playing on either flank, makes him an attractive target, particularly for Manchester City. P

ep Guardiola is reportedly keen to bolster his defensive options as he prepares for the potential departure of veteran Kyle Walker this summer.

Udogie’s Premier League experience, coupled with his impressive performances, has made him an appealing prospect for City, who are expected to make a bid in the coming months.

However, according to Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenberg, Tottenham are determined to hold onto Udogie for the upcoming season.

Plettenberg revealed that Spurs view the Italian international as an integral part of their squad planning, and as such, there is currently no price tag on the player.

Tottenham are more likely to seek a backup option for Udogie rather than part with the young defender.

His current contract runs until 2030, further solidifying Tottenham’s position.

Tottenham’s stance on Udogie has also been influenced by the club’s owner, Daniel Levy.

According to GIVEMESPORT, Levy is not keen on strengthening a direct rival like Manchester City, and any potential sale to them would likely require a substantial fee.

On the other hand, Juventus has shown interest in the player, and Levy may be more open to negotiating with the Serie A giants, given the lower likelihood of Udogie facing his former side.
