Tottenham Hotspur have joined the race to sign France-born Algerian attacker Rayan Cherki.
The club has reportedly opened talks with the agent of the player over a possible signing in the summer transfer window.
Cherki, 21, has been in sensational form for Lyon in the ongoing 2024/25 football season. Not only has he impressed with his performances in the French Ligue 1, but he also starred in the Europa League before the team’s exit at the quarter-final stage.
Despite possessing an Estimated Transfer Value of €37.5 million, Lyon are expected to accept offers below €35 million.
Sources have revealed that the club could even accept a fee of € 20 million due to mounting pressure to stabilise their finances. The French club is also under threat of relegation if they fail to resolve their off-field financial issues, making a summer sale almost inevitable.
Although Rayan Cherki remains focused on helping Lyon in their remaining games of the season, his departure in the summer transfer window is more and more becoming increasingly likely.
Besides Tottenham, Borussia Dortmund, and Manchester United are all interested in signing Rayan Cherki.
