Tottenham Hotspur manager Tim Sherwood expressed relief on Tuesday as star striker Emmanuel Adebayor returned to training after missing three games due to injury.
Adebayor’s absence was felt in important matches including the Europa League fixture against Benfica, the victory against Southampton, and the defeat against Liverpool. Sherwood expressed his pleasure at seeing Adebayor back on the pitch and stated that they would continue to monitor his progress to ensure he is ready for Monday’s match against Sunderland.
The Togolese striker has been in fine form this season, scoring 11 goals in 17 games, but had been sidelined with a hamstring injury.
