Torino tracking Algeria and Belgium defender Rafik Belghali after Serie A move

Rafik Belghali, the Algeria and Belgium defender currently at Hellas Verona, has been linked with a move to Torino in Serie A.

The 24-year-old right-back joined Verona from KV Mechelen for €2m on 19 August 2025 and is now being associated with a transfer to Torino, with the Italian clubs listed in Serie B and Serie A respectively.

Belghali has made four appearances at the 2026 World Cup, starting every match and scoring once. He has also recorded 26 Serie A appearances and two goals during his career.

A move would represent another step in the defender’s progression through Italian football after his switch from Belgium last year. Before joining Verona, Belghali spent two seasons with Mechelen, having previously played for Lommel SK.

His current market value is €12m, while his contract with Hellas Verona runs until 30 June 2029. That agreement means Verona are under no immediate pressure to sell, although Torino’s interest could develop into a formal approach during the transfer window.

Belghali was born in Leuven and has represented both Algeria and Belgium in his nationality profile. He joined Verona after establishing himself in Belgian domestic football, where he made 36 Jupiler Pro League appearances and scored twice.
