Serie A side Torino has completed the signing of Morocco international Zakaria Aboukhlal from Toulouse.
The deal, which is worth up to €10m, was completed on Monday.
Aboukhlal has signed a four-year contract at the club, which will keep him at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino until June 2029. He will wear number 7.
“I’m ready to start. Toro are a great team with so much history. I think it was the right decision to come here,” the promising winger told Sky Italia.
According to Sky Sport Italia, the deal comprises an initial €8m fee, with a further €2m in performance-related add-ons.
A product of the Willem II and PSV Eindhoven academies, Aboukhlal previously played for AZ Alkmaar before joining Toulouse in 2022. He scored seven goals and registered four assists in 26 Ligue 1 appearances last season.
The forward rose to international prominence at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, scoring in Morocco’s 2-0 group-stage win over Belgium.
His arrival is expected to bolster Torino’s attack as the club looks to improve on last season’s mid-table finish in Serie A.
