Several clubs are lining up to sign Gabonese striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang after learning about his imminent departure from Saudi club Al-Qadsiah.
According to information gathered, the 36-year-old is set to leave Al-Qadsiah just a year after signing for the team from French Ligue 1 side Olympique de Marseille.
During his time with the Ligue 1 side, Aubameyang netted 30 goals and provided 11 assists in 51 appearances, a performance that had initially convinced Marseille to keep him.
However, they eventually allowed him to leave for Saudi Arabia after he expressed a desire for the move.
Now, Marseille are reportedly back in contact with their former talisman to explore the possibility of a reunion. But they won’t have it easy this time around.
According to Foot Mercato, Aubameyang is on the radar of several clubs across multiple leagues, including the English Premier League, Major League Soccer, Turkey’s Süper Lig, Serie A in Italy, and La Liga in Spain.
Clubs from Saudi Arabia are also monitoring his situation, as are a number of Ligue 1 sides, all waiting to see when his contract with Al-Qadsiah will be officially terminated.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will be assessing his options in the next few weeks before deciding on his next destination.
