Madagascar thrash Kyrgyzstan 5-2 in dominant display
Madagascar national football team produced a dominant attacking display to defeat Kyrgyzstan national football team 5-2 in an international friendly that underlined their strong form.
The match, played at the Mardan Sports Complex, saw Madagascar take control from the outset, overwhelming their opponents with an early burst of goals.
The Barea turned the contest into a one-sided affair in the opening half, setting the tone for a convincing victory.
Madagascar opened the scoring in the fifth minute through Randrianantenaina, before Fontaine doubled the lead just 10 minutes later.
The pressure continued to mount as Caddy added a third in the 24th minute, leaving Kyrgyzstan struggling to respond.
Couturier then extended the advantage shortly before half-time, making it 4-0 and effectively placing the result beyond doubt before the interval.
The first-half performance highlighted Madagascar’s attacking efficiency and ability to capitalise on early momentum.
Their intensity and precision left Kyrgyzstan unable to gain a foothold in the game during the opening 45 minutes.
After the break, Kyrgyzstan attempted to mount a response. Led by Almazbekov, they managed to score twice in quick succession, finding the net in the 57th and 61st minutes.
The brief resurgence reduced the deficit and injected some uncertainty into the match.
However, Madagascar quickly reasserted control, maintaining composure and restoring their dominance. The Barea continued to press forward, demonstrating the balance between attacking ambition and tactical discipline.
Caddy completed the scoring in the 78th minute, securing his second goal of the match and confirming the 5-2 result. The goal effectively ended Kyrgyzstan’s hopes of a comeback and sealed a comprehensive victory for the African side.
The result reflects Madagascar’s current momentum, with the team showing confidence and cohesion in their performances.
Their ability to combine attacking flair with control throughout the match suggests a side growing in confidence on the international stage.
For Kyrgyzstan, the match exposed defensive vulnerabilities, particularly in the opening stages, despite their improved display in the second half.
Madagascar leave Antalya with a convincing result and a performance that reinforces their progress, having delivered a display marked by attacking sharpness and resilience.
