Tolu Arokodare has become a sensation for KRC Genk, transforming from a subdued debut season to one of Belgium’s most lethal strikers under the guidance of Thorsten Fink.
The towering Nigerian forward has racked up an impressive 13 goals and 5 assists in 20 league appearances this season, earning him widespread acclaim.
Hein Vanhaezebrouck, a prominent figure in Belgian football, recently hailed Arokodare as the country’s top striker. “They will make a lot of money from that at Genk, although it would be a huge loss if they lost him this winter,” Vanhaezebrouck told Het Nieuwsblad.
Despite transfer speculation, Genk is determined to keep their star man and maintain their title aspirations. The 23-year-old striker, who signed from Amiens SC for €5 million, is under contract until 2027, further securing his future at the club—for now.
As the January transfer window approaches, the question remains: will Genk resist the inevitable interest, or will Arokodare take his talents to a new stage?
