Togo is gearing up for the preliminary phases of the African Champions League and the African Football Confederation Cup, with the government allocating a budget of 5 million CFA francs to each of the country’s top clubs: Anges de Notsé and AS Customs. The primary objective is for these clubs to advance beyond the preliminary rounds in their respective continental competitions.
The newly appointed Togolese Minister of Sports, Angèle Amouzou-Dzaké, recently visited both clubs to inspect the facilities and offer support.
Anges de Notsé, the reigning champions of Togo, are set to face Enyimba on February 8 in Nigeria for the first leg of the African Champions League preliminaries. They will then host their Nigerian opponents on February 16 in Lomé.
Meanwhile, AS Customs will kick off their campaign with a home match on February 9 against Club Industriel de Conakry. The return leg is scheduled for February 16 in Conakry.
