In his resignation letter, Adjeté expressed concerns about the deterioration of practices within the federation, which he believed damaged the integrity and reputation of Togolese football. Despite his appeals and trust in the leadership, he felt his concerns were not addressed, leading to weariness and silence on his part.
The president of the FTF, Ameyi Gabriel, acknowledged Adjeté’s decision and welcomed it. He mentioned that Adjeté had stopped attending meetings almost a year ago, and if he chose to resign now, it was a sensible decision to allow those willing to work to progress. Gabriel emphasized the importance of focusing on the work, expressing regret over Adjeté’s resignation but affirming that the federation’s activities would continue, aiming for success.
